There are a lot of things in Australia waiting for you to discover. So if you are planning a tour to this wonderful country, here are five things that you should know.

Explore Fraser Island, Australia’s largest sand island.

Located east of Queensland, Fraser Island is often visited by adventure-savvy tourists for sprawling white sand measuring approximately 120km. You can hire your own 4WD car and drive around the island or get a night camping package. The waters and lakes are also very refreshing but don’t go nearby as they are roughly full of white sharks.

Go to Brisbane, the capital city of Queensland.

There is a lot of culture and history here not to mention some of the best museums such as Queensland Museum and Sciencentre and Queensland Gallery of Modern Art. You can also head to South Bank where you can get a good meal from notable restaurant.

 Hike the Daintree.

This is the world’s oldest rainforest – even older than Amazon. You can book hiking tour package to explore this beautiful forest. It features dense jungles, beautiful mountains, refreshing waterfalls, rich wildlife and daring cliffs. Just a warning, this option is not for the faint-hearted. If you want to get off the beaten path, you can try some quieter and easier place where you can sit and just relax.

See some crocodiles.

No trip to Australia is complete without seeing its large and not-so-friendly crocodiles. In fact, Australia has one of the largest crocodile sanctuaries. You can take a trip to the outback, explore the Red Center and Western Australia and see for yourself. Don’t worry ever tour will have expert tour guides going along with you and these places are safe. Make sure you visit Karijini National Park, Kakadu, and Litchfield National Park.

Go for some wine-tasting.

If you love wine, you have come to the right place. Australia is home to some of the best wines in the world. Head down to Margaret River or Hunter Valley and you will have many changes to taste Aussie Wines.  Another place you should visit is the Barossa Valley. The best option to go wine-tasting is to rent a car but you can also book guided tours from major cities.
